The 10 Commandments Eser Mitzvah Scriptural Study
| Yaschica Bayt Yis'real
Knowing and understanding the ten commandments (Eser Mitzvah) go hand in hand with the oath our forefathers and foremothers took in Deuteronomy chapter 6 KJV. I know we have seen the ten commandments hanging in churches for show. Are the commandments really gone away? Why would the commandments go away? YAHOSHUA never taught anything different because he is the word. The reason people do not understand the Talmidian (disciples) is because the teaching of the Torah (YARAH) is not taught except to select people groups. I went through a period in my life that people would block my time so I could not study the scriptures. Interesting that people say when someone reads the scriptures and lives it out, they are religious, but the religious organizations do not teach people to fully read the Bible because we would then see the truth to break outside of religion. I can say it certainly aligns with the scripture that they conspire against the people of YHWH. I was that person called and hungry for the word of YHWH and YHWH’s understanding. I needed to know what I felt in my heart was not just my imagination as people told me.
Learning and receiving the understanding of YARAH was essential to setting me free spiritually so that I could be free in the natural and receive the peace YAHOSHUA speaks of (Yochanan (John) 14:27 KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. I can say this peace is real, but people do not understand this real peace of YAHOSHUA. I know many people that believe the religious lie or the examples of deceived lost souls to mean we live in a delusion as when things are hard, we do not deal with them but pretend nothing is happening by telling ourselves feel good lies. I did not realize that so many people believe it is natural to live in elevated levels of stress, caused by their actions, and think all “responsible” people must live completely stressed-out taking pills, drinking, drugs, or other various outlets to try and keep them going. I know that I was not supposed to live highly stressed as heart disease is one of the number one killer for my people group. Yet, we ignore the very peace of the YARAH put before us. Why? Because of the lie that we will not be successful when we walk fully in Torah. Fear keeps the people in place or in bondage.
Peace of YAHOSHUA starts with a strengthening gained through stillness. I know it is hard for people to understand a stillness is really an actionable word and not a literal idleness in every aspect. We can see how people misunderstand our culture when they believe peace means only to be quiet and to literally do nothing. One woman actually said to me, “I cannot sit and do nothing.” I did not know what she meant at the time but today I know the false religious imagery of getting still and being quiet is portrayed as an inaction therefore people run from this because they spiritually know laziness will bring us to poverty. Interesting that some people acknowledge that laziness will bring us to poverty but refuse to believe we are rich in following the Torah. Anyway, the truth is the stillness is releasing the fight against the Torah so that we can see and understand the truth, and this involves prayer, study, and more study and more prayer. Action. Application is next because we do not just hear the righteousness, but we live it out, so we are doers. Application is an action, and the action will begin to sort out those things that cause chaos. Beautiful.
When I meditate on the YARAH and especially the commandments I see them as the answer to the problems we see today. I see how the sin (living in opposition of the commandments) have created devastation and havoc that only the deceived lie about happiness and truth. I think of the problems that we as a people want to address but then use natural empty things never getting to the root of the problem only band-aid fixes or surface fixes. Because people think psychology and other pagan practices will solve the problems, so they continue in the unrighteous cycles of self-destruction with only the fools leading people saying they are reaching happiness. Choosing to remain blind to the truth that self-righteousness is never the answer. Now is the time to admit the righteous one. Why not gain the peace he himself said he wants us to have and will eliminate the wicked? We know the world will be renewed upon YAHOSHUA’s return but many refuses to see the truth. Sadly, many pretend to support each other only to eventually turn on each other when self is all they seek to save.
I see that pure truth is our scriptures and the welding sword to cut the chains forced upon us, the people of YHWH. The power of the sword to cut the chains is the word given by our savior YAHOSHUA, HalleluYAH! Since we the people of YHWH understand his power, we are not the ones that mentally checkout when things get hard, but we are preparing ourselves for the battle and studying ourselves approved to gain the wisdom of YHWH that will protect us and guide us. We can apply what we learned from the Torah to defend ourselves from the things that seek to destroy us. I remember a snide comment from a so-called friend, “I bet you got rest so everything will be easier now.” I said, “No but I will be stronger to deal with what is thrown at me.” I know it may sound like he was saying something nice but not long before that comment he said I was not seeing things in reality so this comment was meant to cut. He was also putting down Sabbath rest. More indication how this person believed that I walked around blind and believing religious lies when in fact it was him.
When people blow little things out of proportion and they cannot see the provision of YHWH they believe those of us that can see it and evaluate things with a balanced eye have mentally checkout and especially when we say, “YHWH will take care of this.” Although we know I consult the YARAH for my AVY’s (Father) instruction again not idle or false religion of inaction. I chose to walk in the wisdom of YHWH, the peace of his wisdom. Yacob (James) 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Our word for peace is Shalom.
Blessed are those that are peacekeepers Mattithyahu (Matthew). We keep the laws, statutes, commands of Torah the YARAH and the will of YHWH.
The word gentle in scripture Yacob (James) 3:17 can also confuse many into believing we do not correct others with YARAH but we have to be quiet as in keeping the peace in the Greek western culture way of viewing peace as in do not bother me with your correction or do not disagree or question anything I say. However, we know we are Shamar as in keepers and guardians of the word and we know we are to cut down and get rid of the roots of sin. We do not keep it in our hearts or in our houses. So, people love pushing the idea that correction is arguing but, in reality, people do not want correction. Here is the real meaning of gentle.
The real meaning is forbearing, fair, reasonable as in not being overly strict with the word or adding to the word as in man-made laws and traditions. There are people referred to as the Pharisees in the scriptures that have added to the commandments claiming in an attempt to keep people from breaking the actual commandment. However, if you just give them the commandment and then the instruction as to how to keep it, we are told here in scripture the word is enough and reasonable to instruction. But if we do not know the Torah, we cannot discern the man-made laws and the doctrine of demons.
Mercy is the ability to allow you the time and ability to conform to Torah. Repentance brings you back into the covenant into the mind of the HaMashiach.
Hebrews 12:11 NIV
No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained in it.
2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
All scripture is given by the instruction of YHWH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, and for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
The Torah beginning with the 10 commandments before the breakdown of instructions coming after the breakdown is your breast plate of righteousness and the entire armor but if you never take time to study when do you suit up? When do you walk and keep YHWH’s will and righteousness?
I have given you the 10 commandments in this study so we will walk through adding the instructions to the commandments.
